Creative Garden was one of the most hands-on and rewarding university projects I have ever worked on. What started as a university assignment evolved into a fully executed event, complete with partnerships and engaged participants, and every stage of the process, from the initial concept to the closing day, became a valuable learning experience for me.
I was responsible for developing the event's entire visual identity, as well as its copywriting. This included designing the poster, creating social media templates for both posts and stories, and writing the copy for all communication materials. Together with my team, we also developed the overall communication strategy, identifying both online and offline channels to build awareness and drive registrations, including social media promotion, posters displayed across the university campus, and a radio appearance.
The event featured two creative workshops: Visual Media Storytelling and Drawing, designed for university students who wanted to explore their creative side. We also partnered with a local confectionery that provided treats during the break and exclusive discounts for participants.
Although the event didn't go exactly according to plan, it was originally meant to take place outdoors, in the faculty's garden, just as the name suggests, it suddenly started raining. We had to quickly adapt and move the workshops indoors, to a hall we had already reserved as a backup. It reminded me that no matter how carefully you plan an event, unexpected situations can always arise, and being able to adapt calmly and anticipate these kinds of things is just as important as the planning itself.
In the end, seeing people show up, actively engage in the workshops, and leave with something they had created themselves was one of the most rewarding moments of the entire project.
Social Media
Management
Strategy · Design · Copywriting · Content Creation
Social media is where strategy and creativity meet in real time, and it is the area where I have built most of my hands-on experience. Across different projects and organizations, I have developed and managed social media presences from the ground up, shaping the tone of voice, visual identity, content strategy, and editorial calendars, while creating content tailored to each platform.
One of my most rewarding projects has been building the social media presence of the brand I currently work for. When I joined, I focused on creating a strategy, defining a clear target audience, establishing content pillars, creating a consistent visual identity, and developing a recognizable tone of voice. I also introduced more video content and educational posts designed for the brand's two main audiences. While the brand's social media presence went through several changes, I believe that in the end, I could develop a good strategy, tone of voice, visual identity and quality content.
Today, I am comfortable with creating content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, always adapting the message and format to each platform's characteristics.
Although most of my work has been created for Editura Elicart, I have also developed social media content for university projects, such as Creative Garden Workshops, and contributed to the social media communication with copywriting for Bosch Romania, during my internship.
